Aldea Counseling Services - Director of Mental Health Location: Napa

We are seeking a Director of our Mental Health Services to provide oversight and leadership to Aldea Counseling Services (ACS). ACS provides a wide array of services to children, adolescents, and their families. Services range from prevention to intervention in cases of childhood abuse and neglect, mental illness, and adjustment to family stress. The program's priority is to assist, support, and strengthen our community’s children and families. We provide services in our clinics in Napa and Fairfield, and at school sites throughout Napa County.

Director’s key responsibilities include:

Oversee the management of Aldea Counseling Services clinics.  This includes:

·        Management of individual, family and group therapeutic services clients according to quality and ethical standards. 

·        Ensure clinical soundness of services offered through ongoing monitoring and evaluation of all program staff, including those offering clinical supervision.  Working with Clinical Supervisors, plan and implement clinical and therapeutic case reviews and supervision in accordance with BBS requirements.  Maintain an appropriate client and family intake and assessment system for individuals and families and appropriate assignment of cases to therapists.

·        Ensure programs meet agreed budgets.  Provide input on structure of services and reimbursements for all contracts and manage delivery of services to meet the contractual performance and fiscal commitments.  In addition, develop capability to identify and monitor outcomes of client services.

·        Participate in ongoing opportunities for improving and growing client services according to community needs, emerging trends and patterns of best practice clinical treatment and available funding sources.  Actively manage relationships with Napa County Health and Human Services and other community agencies and represent the program and agency by proactively participating in the appropriate settings and meetings.

·         Ensure that all required records meet compliance standards and are maintained securely, including client files and general client statistics for planning and billing purposes and input to the agency database.  Ensure smooth functioning of client reception, handling of appointments and neat, functional premises.

·        Hiring, development and performance management of program staff, including participating in some clinical supervision activities.

·        Provide oversight, agency leadership and clinical coordination of services with the Program Director of A.D.A.P.T.

·        Provide guidance, oversight, agency leadership and coordination of services to the Program Manager of Solano Parent Network.

·         Provide oversight and agency leadership to the Program Director of Supported Living Services.  While separate from the outpatient services clinics, maintain sufficient awareness of these services and provide regular connection to the SLS leadership team to make them part of the overall Aldea family of programs.

·         Maintain a schedule of individual meetings and regular staff meetings to ensure that all agency and program news is appropriately cascaded and that provide opportunities for you to interact with all levels of staff. 

·         Develop and foster in staff an awareness of the community, county agencies and relationships with other non-profit service providers and importance of working collaboratively while highlighting the distinctive differences in Aldea services.

·         Participate in agency-wide activities such as agency leadership meetings, agency clinical supervision team, some Board of Directors meetings, acting both to report on and represent your programs but also on behalf of the agency as a whole.  Coordinate operational activities with Aldea administrative staff.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited or state approved graduate school in social work (MSW) or relevant Master’s level program.

  • Current LCSW or MFT license in the State of California.

  • 5+ years experience in people and program management in the mental health field; and +5 years as a clinician/therapist, preferably working with children.

 The successful candidate will possess:

  •  A current and forward-looking understanding of child welfare systems and juvenile court services.

  •  Knowledge of child development and family systems.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills and demonstrated ability to motivate a team as well as the desire and ability to participate at the executive team level for the agency as a whole.

  • Understanding of and sensitivity and responsive to serving culturally diverse populations.

 

 
 
 

Aldea Counseling Services -                                        Social Work Clinician - Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Location: Napa

We seek a skilled and caring bilingual counselor who, under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor and Program Director, provides direct assessment, treatment, and necessary collateral services to assigned children and families.

SAMPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides direct treatment and necessary collateral services to all assigned children and families.

  • Works with various modalities including individual, conjoint, family and group therapy, as appropriate.

  • Serves children at a variety of sites, as assigned.

  • Works collaboratively with other ALDEA staff, including those providing psychiatric/medical and psychological services.

  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with providers from other agencies and systems so as to benefit clients.

  • Completes all required administrative activity, including clinical record keeping, time tracking and billing backup documentation, in a timely and accurate fashion.

  • Actively utilizes clinical supervision to develop and hone intervention skills and strategies.

  • Participates actively in all required staff meetings and training opportunities.

  • Maintains all current licensing and/or professional certification requirements.

  • Abides by all provisions of the ALDEA Policies and Procedures Manual.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A current California license or registered intern (MFTI, ASW, LCSW, MFT or Ph.D.)

  • Fluent bilingual (English-Spanish) skills essential. Requires strong English language skills (oral/written).

  • Ability to work independently as well as with others, to handle pressure and to maintain confidentiality at all times.

  • Interest in working with private, nonprofit community-based programs.

  • Ability to comply with all administrative requirements.

  • Ability to identify areas needing improvement and to take initiative to suggest viable alternatives.

  • Must have an understanding of and be sensitive and responsive to serving culturally diverse populations.

 

 
Redwood House - Child Care Workers Location: Napa

Redwood Treatment Center, a program of Aldea Children and Family Services, is looking for strong and caring child care workers, experienced with adolescent boys, preferably in a residential setting. Redwood Treatment Center, located in Napa, is a residential treatment program for troubled adolescents, providing behavior management, skills building, therapy and recreation in a solutions-oriented environment.

Duties include planning and supervision of youth in their daily activities and recreation and maintaining all required records. The incumbent provides an adult role model for the youth in dress, behavior, language and attitude. In addition to relevant work experience, a BA or BS degree in psychology, sociology or social work is preferred.

·         Full time position at 4 ten (10) hour days: Sunday through Wednesday                1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
